| Comments | Match Report Report by Alasdair Fraser for the Daily Record. Ross County 3 Montrose 0 Kevin Drinkell was the first to admit turning Montrose round would be a long-term job--but the chances are he won't be around to do it. Drinks was left with a major headache after this drubbing and it's clear much needs to be done to ease the pain. He has been linked with the St Mirren job but Drinkell said: "John Paton was the only chairman good enough to give me a ring when I found myself out of work and I am grateful to him for that. "But I have to be employed full-time. At the minute, that is not an option as no-one else has contacted me. "But if the opportunity arises I will have to take it. "What is clear, from this performance, is that turning around this club's fortunes is going to be a long-term task." Billy Ferries, Neil Tarrant and Alex Taylor grabbed the goals for County who stay four points clear of Brechin. Asked if a healthy gap at the top would be his ideal Christmas present, boss Neile Cooper replied: "No, a Sony Playstation!" |
