| Comments | Match Report Report from the Daily Record. Queen of the South 1 Ross County 3 Hat-trick hero Neil Tarrant sent County to a third round trip to First Division Clydebank with a 10-minute first-half goal burst. But modest Tarrant simply summed up his display when he said: "The chances were there and I just took them." When Jim Thomson lost possession and Tarrant was there to race through and slip it past the keeper for the first. Seven minutes later he prodded home from the six-year line. Then when McBain was op-ended in the box there was no doubts as to who the taker would be and Tarrant duly slotted home. He said: "I just didn't give anyone else a chance...I grabbed the ball and then just hit it." Alex Nesovic snatched a consolation in 88th minute. |
