| Comments | Match Report Report by Anthony Brown for the Daily Record. East Stirlingshire 1 Ross County 2 Garry Wood already has his sights on the First Division--before he's even kicked a ball in Scotland. The blond striker set the seal on a glorious season for the Highlanders by grabbing the killer second goal. And as he prepared to jet off for a holiday with his team-mates he said: "That's a long season over so we're all happy. "We're off to Majorca now but next season we'll try to get promotion again and earn full-time jobs." County boss Neale Cooper added: "Next season will be a new challenge for us but we've got to think in terms of getting promotion in our first year." David Ross headed County in front while Paul Patterson pulled one back for Shire after 52 minutes. Shire boss Hugh McCann said: "They only had two chances in the first halt and scored. We had two which we didn't take but that's why they've won the league and we're at the bottom." |
