| Comments | Match Report Report by Alasdair Fraser for the Daily Record. Ross County 2 Berwick Rangers 0 Berwick boss Paul Smith reckons some of the club's best kids will have to be sold if they're to climb out of the basement. Berwick are third from bottom and stand-gaffer Smith believes some old heads are needed to steady the ship. He said: "We have some quality young players we may have to sell to make progress. "It's very hard to compete with a side like County, who have brought in so many highly-experienced players. "We need to do the same, but to raise the cash required it may be necessary to sell on some of our gifted youngsters like Kevin Walton, Grant McNicol and Martin Neil." Steve Ferguson headed County into the lead after 28 minutes and Tom Callaghan added the second with eight minutes to play. County boss Neale cooper said: "Berwick are stuffy defensively, so I was happy to go ahead. I was even more pleased with the second as they were frighting back." |
