Derek Adams' luck deserted him last night as a penalty miss cost last night as a penalty miss cost Ross County two precious promotion points.
Adams, who clinched a Scottish Cup shock result against Airdrie and victory against Dumbarton on Saturday from the penalty spot, blasted his 84th-minute kick straight at goalkeeper Gordon McDougall.
It took 23 minutes for the home side to produce their first spark of inventive play. Charlie King's cross from the left was head-flicked to Gary Wood, who turned an acrobatic circle to come close with an overhead kick.
The second half offered the same pattern--County domination but little penetration--with David Watt coming closest to securing three points for County with a well-taken header.
