| Comments | Match Report Report by Bill McAllister for the Press & Journal. Ross County 6 Albion Rovers 2 A Phenomenal first-half blitz saw Ross County surge into a Third Division Promotion slot for the first time this year. The fun started in 15 minutes when visiting keeper Steve Ross sliced a Clearance to the feet of Gerry Farrell 35 yards out and he looked up to coolly float it back high over the dumbfounded keeper. Six minutes later Connor Campbell was in the clear to fire the ball past the advancing Keeper and after 23 minutes Roy McBain found himself in acres of space to chip the stranded keeper. A minute later Ronnie Coyle turned the ball into his own net while trying to clear. And just on half-time Derek Adams cashed in on a poor clearance to send in the home side 5-0 up. In 79 minutes, Sandy Ross Tucked away the penalty kick and Dougie Bruce crashed home a second via the bar. But County struck again in the last seconds when Mark Haro tapped it over the line. |
