| Comments | Match Report Report from the Daily Record. Montrose 2 Ross County 1 Neale Cooper recons Ross County will stop leaking goals--when he's back in the team. Fed up player-boss Cooper vowed to step his fitness bid after his side gifted two in the first four minutes to stay locked at the bottom of the table after three straight defeats. He said: It showed we were missing experienced players such as myself and Willie Furphy. "I'm still recovering from a groin strain but I'll play in a friendly with Forres on Tuesday and possibly against Arbroath on Saturday. I'm looking forward to getting back." Colin McGlashan, later carried off with a leg injury, and Shaun Smith struck Montrose quickfire goals. Cooper added: "We made terrible mistakes yet created enough chances to win. We don't seem to be having any luck." Andy MacLeod finally beat keeper Dave Larter for County's goal two minutes after the break. But Montrose held on for their first win to get a break from bawling boss Dave Smith. He said: "I've been ranting at them for the past few weeks. I don't like doing it. But it has to be done to get results." |
