| Comments | Match Report Report by Mike Tremlett from the Press & Journal. Ross County 2 Livingston 2 Ross County set up another crucial Bell's Third Division Promotion clash against Brechin at Glebe Park on Saturday after they were forced to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw with Jim Leishman's Livingston. County's point was enough to lift them two positions up the table above Arbroath and Caley Thistle but they missed the chance to move into second place behind Brechin when they lost a 2-1 half time lead. County looked to be on their way whem they went on front after just five minutes-- a goal conjured out of nothing by Stuart Golabek, who took on Craig Smart and hit a curling shot from the corner of the 18 yard box which hit the underside of the bar and an upright before knocked the loose ball into the open net. But seven minutes later Livingston were back in it when County conceded an own goal with Golabek the culprit, steering a miscued header into the net at the near post when McMartin's corner arrived with the County player under pressure from Graham Harvey. Livingston danger man Mark Duthie had to come off with a back injury and County went 2-1 in front a minute before the interval Milne took on Tierney and cut the ball back from the bye line. The visitors started the second half with defender Steve Campbell on a yellow card after he was booked in the dressing room at half time for a comment made to referee Sandy Roy in the tunnel and manager Jim Leishman made a tactical switch with Lee Bailey on for Harvey. Twenty minutes from time Livingston began to step it up looking for an equaliser and Campbell curled a dipping free kick around the home side's six-man wall from 25 yards but Hutcheson got down quickly to smother his effort. But three minutes later Hutcheson could only parry Dave Alleyne's low driven shot from outside the box and Young side-footed into the empty net. |
