Greenock Morton 2 Ross County 1
Clinical Greenock Morton extended their unbeaten run and knocked Ross County off the top of the Championship.
Don Cowie opened the scoring for County after a scoreless first half, sliding the ball past goalkeeper Ryan Scully.
But Michael Tidser quickly belted a left-footed shot from long range to level.
Bob McHugh latched on to a loose ball inside the County box and fired across Scott Fox into the net, taking Morton joint top of the table with Ayr United.
County, the bookmakers' favourites to win the league, lose their 100% record in the division while Morton maintain their unbeaten start in the second tier.
Neither side was able to muster a shot on target in the first half but the game came to life in the second period and late chances for Michael Gardyne and Callum Morris almost brought the visitors level.
Greenock Morton manager Ray McKinnon: "They're title favourites, a big, big side let's be honest and we're not the biggest.
"To be fair to the players we matched them all over the park in terms of the physical side. I'm delighted with the three points."
Ross County co-manager Steven Ferguson: "There's still a lot of positives from our point of view, so we'll take that.
"We'll take that learning curve and we'll move on."
