| Comments | Match Report Report by Dave Edwards for the Press & Journal. Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 Ross County 0 A Ross Tokely goal on the hour helped Caley Thistle retain the Inverness cup in a keenly contested final at Caledonian Stadium last night. Caley manager Steve Paterson was delighted to win his fourth Inverness Cup in a row. He said: "the two 18-year-olds from Celtic--Gary Nicol and Scot Kellacher--did really well Ross Tokely took his goal well and redeemed himself for his earlier error." Ross County boss Neale Cooper said: "There wasn't much to choose between the teams and if we do go up to the Second Division I'm sure we can handle ourselves with the addition of a few players." It was against the run of play that Caley Thistle scored. Barry Robson's deep cross found Tokely at the back post and the big defender took a touch before hammering the ball under Nicky Walker. |
