Clyde 1 Ross County 0
Experienced Ross County manager Alex Smith knows his players are on a steep learning curve and he must take them to the next level following defeat at the hands of one of his former clubs.
After that superb 5-1 win in midweek against Caley Thistle, the Dingwall side was looking for another three points in its bid to move into mid table.
But Smith said: "We have got to learn to come off the back of a good win and perform. You can see the lesson has not yet been learned."
Admittedly, County suffered injury blows, but there was no doubt Clyde would be the eventual winners.
It took heroics from goalkeeper Tony Bullock to keep his side in the game.
Smith said: "We lost a defender early and then another two players to injury after the break.
"We lost a bad goal and were never able to get back in it. The best we were going to get was a draw."
It was County who showed up early, with Brian Irvine heading over from a Don Cowie corner after only three minutes. But Clyde soon showed as an attacking force and Bullock had to race out of his goal to clear from the advancing Paul Shields.
Former Celtic player Shields threatened again with a 20-yard free kick which slipped over the bar.
There was little to excite the fans during the first 45 minutes, until Steve Convery broke the deadlock.
Ten minutes before the break Convery got up to head in the only goal of the game after Jack Ross had headed a Mark McLaughlin cross back across goal.
County's hopes of a fightback were hampered when Tassos Venetis limped off two minutes into the second period after a tough challenge from John Potter, who was yellow-carded.
And it was Potter who almost added to Clyde lead minutes later with a shot from outside the penalty area which keeper Bullock pulled out from under the bar.
