Queen's Park 0 Ross County 3
Former Queen's Park players Ian Maxwell had a sense of deja vu when he scored for Ross County--because last time he hit the net, he was playing for the Glasgow side.
The big defender said: "it's always nice to score, especially when you are in my position and don't get many chances.
"This time was even more special because it was against my old team and this time it was at the right end.
"It's good to be at Ross County just now. We know we are in a good position for promotion, but we are not about to get complacent.
"There's a lot of confidence among the squad and that comes from being a winning side. That's good to be a part of."
County were already in front, courtesy of a 20th minute Damiano Agostini own goal, when Maxwell scored.
The six-footer took advantage of bad marking to power a header past keeper Jim Chalmers in 53 minutes.
Sub Billy Ferries tied-up victory for the league leaders 15 minutes from time when he got his head to a Steve Ferguson cross.
Beaming Ross County boss Neale Cooper said: "I am happy to get back to winning ways again after a few draws, but we really need to sharpen things up.
"At times we looked like the side who had a game midweek.
However, the big thing for us is to get promotion and I think we are back to playing the way to aim for that."
Queen's had been unbeaten at home since switching their matches to Lesser Hampden, but haven't scored in five games.
Coach John McCormack said: "We were a bit limited in what we could do with four man out injured and three suspended.
"Once they got their first, they were quite happy because they could then knock the ball about with a bit more confidence.
"It's hard when you've got inconsistent players. Not just that, but we had a couple of opportunities to come back into the game and we didn't take them.
"We had those men out but I don't make excuses, although it didn't help our situation.
"When it comes down to it, we are just too unpredictable and inconsistent.
