Airdrie veteran John Martin last night pledged to hold on to Goalkeeper's jersey--and keep the Diamonds in the Cup.
The Division one side are set to sign Motherwell Scott Howie on loan until the end of the season, which could mean the axe for Martin.
But the long-serving player will be between the sticks when the Diamonds travel north for the next Tuesday's tricky replay because of the two-week tournament signing deadline.
And Martin insists he has no intention of being knocked aside for the league games in between.
He said: "We play Ayr on Tuesday and I want to be playing in that one. I'm the man in possession and I want to stay there.
"My aim is to play in our next two league games and then make sure we go into the fourth round of the cup by beating County.
"We let them off the hook a bit by easing up and we have to make sure we finish the job."
County also have their sights on a home draw against Dundee in the next round.
Experienced midfielder Alex Taylor never thought his desperate cup luck was going to turn with the Division Three minnows.
He said: "i haven't had a decent run since I was with Dundee United in the 1980s.
"My last couple of sides Thistle and Raith didn't do anything when I was there.
"Now we've been handed a great opportunity and it would be great for Dingwall if we can finish the job.
"But we could see that Airdrie were a good side in patches and I would think they're still favourites."
Airdrie seemed to be cruising to victory with goals from Brian McPhee and Steve Cooper--but Taylor sparked a revival by placing a free kick on Mark Haro's head and Steve Ferguson clinched the Victoria Park replay.
