Ross County 4 Montrose 4
Ross County manager Neale Cooper watched his side fire four first-class goals past Montrose at Victoria Park on Saturday and then branded their effort "schoolboy stuff".
Cooper was incensed at a staggering complacency in defence which allowed the visitors to draw level on three occasions and finally emerge from a thrilling eight-goal Division 3 encounter with a share of the spoils.
The result left the Links Park side a point clear at the head of the table and sets up an all-important clash with second-placed Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Caledonian Stadium in a fortnight.
Former Dundee United and Dunfermline player John Clark, who scored one of County's goals, last night confirmed his brief stint with the Dingwall club is over only one game after being signed on Friday by manager and former teammate Neale Cooper.
Clark revealed an unnamed English club had expressed an interest in signing him and said: "I am delighted that I was able to chip in and help the team out. It helps keep fit and was good for everyone."
