Ayr United 1 Ross County 0
Ayr United knocked top-flight Ross County out of the Scottish Cup at the fourth round stage with a 1-0 win at Somerset Park.
Steven Bell scored the only goal for the Scottish Championship side 10 minutes before half-time, rising to head home from a corner.
It meant Ayr were on the right side of an upset, having lost to Auchinleck Talbot at the same stage last year.
County, though, are now without a win in four and have won just two of 15.
Lee Erwin spurned an early chance to open the scoring for the Scottish Premiership side, with his shot well saved by Ross Doohan.
Brian Graham, who scored a hat-trick the last time the two sides met, was brought off the bench but could not help his side find an equaliser.
Ayr United player/manager Mark Kerr: "We felt we controlled the game and gave out the balls in the right area and capitalised when we found space.
"They are a Premiership team and you know it is going to come off three or four times for them but you try to stop it. But we also played a nice combination of passes and got onto the second ball."
Ross County co-manager Stuart Kettlewell: "We got what we deserved out of the game. We will not say because we had so much of the ball in the second half we deserved a draw.
"It is miles off what we expect in the two years that I have been in this job."
