| Comments | Match Report Report by Charlie Mann for the BBC. Partick Thistle 0 Ross County 2 Ross County beat Partick Thistle to remain second in the Championship after a goal in each half gave them their second away victory in a week. Josh Mullen's burst from midfield was rewarded with a fine strike from the edge of the box. Billy McKay netted from the spot after hand ball from Sean McGinty - his seventh goal of the season. But County finished with 10 men when Ross Draper received a second yellow card in time added on. Ross County co-manager Steven Ferguson: "We played well, but we also have to look after the ugly bit which the players don't like as much and that is what we did in spells today. "Tannadice last week and Firhill today, I don't think it gets much tougher than that, so the fact that we have come away with maximum points from those two games is really pleasing for Stuart and I and the players deserve a lot of credit for what they have done here. "We are in a good place at the moment." Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald: "That game has been the story of our season so far in terms of overall play. "Our heads went down a bit after the second goal and I was disappointed with that. We need to put it right as quickly as we can and we need to cut out the errors, I don't think anybody has worked really hard for a goal against us since the start of the season. "It is bitterly frustrating, but because we lost today it puts pressure on our away form as well." |
