| Comments | Match Report Report from the North Star. Ross County 1 Hamilton Academical 2 County's friendly with Hamilton ended in a 2-1 defeat, but with a little bit of luck, and had Brian Grant not made a hash of a penalty award, County could well have had a draw at least. Their goal, equalising a 20-minute opener by Hamilton, was scored by Stuart Golabek just after the interval. And the visitor's winner came from the spot during the second period. In both friendly fixture there was a freshness and new vigour about County's play but, as I said, the big test will be this Saturday when Neale Cooper must get his permutation of players spot on to beat off the challenge from Queen's Park who have been very impressive in their pre-season games and, during the close season, have made several significant signings to strengthen their side considerably. |
