| Comments | Match Report Report from the North Star. Forres Mechanics 1 Ross County 3 County stopped the rot when they visited Mosset Park and recorded victory with a Steve Ferguson double on Tuesday. Dutchman Ivo Den Bieman made his debut for County, who were stunned when Highland League Forres took an eighth minute lead. Nicky Walker sent a clearance straight to home striker Gary Watt, who lobbed the stranded visiting keeper. Murray Hunter, who had seen a shot turned against a post by Can-Cans keeper Gary Watt, equalised after 15 minutes when his shot went in off the underside of the bar. Ferguson converted Connor Campbell's cross 10 minutes later to put County in front. And five minutes into the second half Ferguson struck again to seal the tie. County's reward is a home first round match with Nairn County. |
