| Comments | Match Report Report from the Scottish Football League Hamilton Academical 0 Ross County 2 County march on League leaders Ross County recorded a fourth successive victory with a 2-0 win against Hamilton at New Douglas Park. Colin McMenamin put County ahead after only seven minutes, firing Scott Morrison's pass into the centre of the goal from 12 yards. The Staggies extended their lead nine minutes later when Richard Brittain picked out the head of Scott Boyd who finished from close range. Mark Stewart came close to halving the deficit in the 28th minute but his right-footed strike from 20 yards flew narrowly wide. Hamilton goalkeeper David Hutton then had to be alert to prevent Paul Lawson from adding a third with a right-footed effort from the edge of the area. Accies striker Andy Ryan forced a fine save out of Michael Fraser in the final minute as the hosts were denied a consolation. |
