| Comments | Match Report Report from the Daily Record. Airdrie United 0 Ross County 1 COUNTY boss Derek Adams has urged his high-flying aces to keep their feet on the ground after rising to top-spot. Gary Woods bagged the winner in 78 minutes with a cheeky backheel from close range but Adams refuses to get carried away. He said: "To me the win does not take us to the top of the table. It just takes us to 20 points. "That is the way we are looking at the situation. We've had a great start to the season but we want to stay grounded and take it one game at a time." Earlier, County survived a scare when keeper Michael McGovern blocked John Baird's low drive in five minutes. Airdrie then missed a great chance before half-time when an unmarked Scott McLaughlin nodded over Diarmuid O'Carroll''s pin-point cross. Michael Gardyne should have put the visitors ahead 10 minutes into the second half but shot wide. Home keeper Stephen Robertson then denied Paul Di Giacomo but was left helpless as Woods sealed the points. Airdrie boss Kenny Black said: "It was another disappointing result but I can't fault our lads' effort and commitment." |
