| Comments | Match Report Report from the BBC. Airdrie United 2 Ross County 0 Airdrie produced an impressive performance to defeat Division Two champions Ross County and clinch a promotion play-off place. The hosts took a deserved lead in 23 minutes when Bryan Prunty's shot was forced home by Stuart Noble. Paul Lovering went close with an angled effort nine minutes later after clever work by Bobby Donnelly. Airdrie ensured victory when Prunty's shot was well saved by Tony Bullock, but Allan Russell lashed the ball home. Marco Andreoni picked out Russell in space inside the penalty box late-on, but he sent his effort the wrong side of the post. |
