| Match Report | Report from the Press and Journal. Ross County 3 Buckie Thistle 2 A LATE penalty gave Ross County a deserved victory, but earlier Buckie twice hit back to equalise. County, without four regulars, dictated for long spells the first half, but had only an O'BRIEN strike to show for all their pressure at the interval. Innes made fine flying save from Connelly on the restart, but Buckie forced four successive comers and got their reward in 69 minutes when Anderson was impeded in the box and BRUCE scored from the spot. Then Macbeath hit a post, but former Brora striker MACPHERSON got his first goal for Ross in 77 minutes with a tremendous drive from 20 yards only to see Buckie race away from the restart to equalise when ROBERTSON beat stand-in keeper Cathcart with a speculative lob. County again took the lead from the penalty spot in 82 minutes. Connelly was pushed in the box and MACDONALD made no mistake from the penalty. |
