| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Fraserburgh 2 Ross County 0 ROSS COUNTY fans were hopeful of a change in their fortunes at Fraserburgh on Saturday last, after their previous week’s 0.2 Qualifying Cup defeat. They came so close to a share of the points, but Fraserburgh were made of tougher material than Fort William and they emerged narrow winners two goals to one. Both sides had the ball in the net in the first half, but goals were ruled out by the referee in a goal-less first half. Fraserburgh took the lead in the 69th minute, when substitute McCreadie took a pass from Robertson and wrong-footed the keeper before pushing the ball home from eight yards. David Jackson, who had also come on as substitute, equalised in the 82nd minute, when he fired the ball in from close range during a goalmouth scramble. However, a minute later Robertson snatched the points, when he headed home a cross from Sim. |
