| Match Report | Report from the Green Final. Ross County 4 Fraserburgh 0 County, last year's league wooden spoonists, almost got off to a flyer when Jackson shot over with the goal at his mercy. Broch raced to the other end where Suttar brought off a great one-handed save from centre forward Robertson. County's Mackay, who made a mazy run, and the game swung one way and another Fraserburgh's Robertson hooked the ball home from a Sim free-kick, but the flag was up for offside. This should have been a warning to the Ross rearguard, who were finding the Broch striker a real handful. And Suttar again had to look smart to punch a Robertson header over the bar as the visitors turned on the pressure. County's Penman and Mackay found a way through, but after 25 minutes, the defences were taking the honours. But on the half-hour, JACKSON broke the deadlock when he headed home a Ferries cross after Mackay had done the spade work. And it was Ferries the goal-maker again in 38 minutes when he crossed for PENMAN to put County further ahead. Two minutes after the restart, County struck again with Mackay laying it on and JACKSON shooting home from the right-wing via a post. MACKAY added another. |
