| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Buckie Thistle 5 Ross County 0 NO CUP GLORY for Ross County this season! On Saturday at Buckie, they were convincingly defeated 5-0 by this season's Highland League Cup losing finalists, their conquerors in last year's League Cup final. Buckie have been playing exceptionally well this season and underlined this fact on Saturday, when they took the lead in the third minute with a header from Whyte following good work by Morrison and Mason. Twenty minutes later they added to their tally, when Yule slammed home an attempted pass-back by Cowie. Two quick goals after the interval in the 46th and 48th minute from Whyte and Loch respectively, finished County's hopes, and the coup-de-grace was inflicted by Whyte, who completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute. |
