Well, they certainly deserve it following five Highland League wins in a row! On Saturday, they made heavy weather of accounting for Rothes, and should have been five goals up by half-time if their finishing had been anything like their approach work, which was sharp and incisive. However, they did secure a goal during this period in the 30th minute, when Donald Mackay scored with a diving header from a Dave Jackson cross. Rothes were denied a goal in the second half due to an offside decision, but with two minutes remaining, Jackson completed County's tally. |
