| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Elgin City 0 Ross County 1 ROSS COUNTY ended their Highland League season on a high note with a prestige victory at Boroughbriggs against Elgin City. It was a most satisfying end to a season which has given much promise for better things to come at Victoria Park. A start has been made for what could be better than to jump from the bottom of the league one season to the upper echelons the next, and at one stage to have headed the league, winning the Club of the Month Award in the process. It has been a great start to Bobby Wilson's career with County, with honours to come. Well done, the lads! Dave Jackson, who has been missing from the first team since early this year with a knee injury, heralded his return to the ranks with the well-taken only goal in the 46th minute. Dave had led the club’s goalscoring chart for the early part of the season and it was only right he should complete his year on a high note. |
