Highland Garrison Training Battalion 3 Ross County 6

The venue of this League fixture was transferred from "The Fort" to Nairn, and it must have been a happy augury for the Ross men, as they got back their goal scoring propensity, winning the game by six goals to three, with a consequent move up to third place in the table.
The first half play was fairly even, with Ross County trying out swinging tactics. In the first fifteen minutes three attempts went narrowly past. Milvic secured the first goal when he headed home from a Jack cross. In three minutes the Servicemen equalised, Kane's goal being scored from close in. No. 2 for the County came quickly when Ogilvie accounted. The soldiers kept up pressure, Ramsay and Kane just failing to score owing to Newton's brilliant custody of his goal. The interval whistle went with the score 2-1 in favour of Ross.
The second half began with County in fighting fettle. Ogilvie dashed through and netted a somewhat easy goal. But the men from "The Fort" were not dismayed and very soon Maxwell reduced the leeway when he headed in a cross from the left. This, however, finished their scoring, while County went on to make their total six, through Ferguson and Jack. During the closing minutes, Fort George played with nine men; right back was injured and another player was ordered off.
