| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Nairn County 5 Ross County 0 On New Year's Day, Nairn County avenged their Christmas Day 8-2 defeat, when they left Ross County behind by five clear goals. The Ross team was the same as the previous week at Dingwall, but Nairn made a few changes. The weather was cold and bleak and the ground conditions very treacherous. In the first half the home lot were steadier and deserved their lead of three goals. Ross County improved later on, but were well held by a sterling defence. The scorers for Nairn were Rose (2), Mathers, Longmuir and Mackay. Sutherland missed a penalty kick for Ross County. |
