| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Lossiemouth 6 Ross County 1 There was no doubting Lossiemouth’s superiority in this game. Although the score rather flattered the winners, yet they showed more skill than their opponents. The man of the moment was centre-forward, Sandy Willox, a Serviceman on leave whose services are being sought after by Tottenham Hotspur. He scored a hat-trick in the first half and all his goals were real opportunist efforts. Kellas netted a fourth from a penalty award, and the best the County could do against a strong wind, was to score once through Ogilvie. County resumed as if they were soon to wipe out their arrears, but Lossie, ably coached by Willie Mills, played carpet football and made great headway. Mills scored their fifth with a grand drive from the 18-yard line. In the last minute Kellas netted from another penalty. Lossiemouth were ahead in all departments. |
