| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Ross County 0 Nairn County 1 Ross County gave a very disappointing display at Dingwall on Wednesday evening, against Nairn County, in the semi-final of the Stuart Cup competition. They had easily 90 per cent. of the game, but score they could not. The only goal was got by the visitors early in the second half, as the result of a break-away, Newton having no chance with Geddes' parting shot. D. Cameron, at centre for County, was the only man in the front line who had a shot in his locker, and on one occasion it was an upright that defied him. Ferguson tried hard but was entirely out of luck. There was nothing wrong with the defence, although Sutherland, Prona, did not reach the standard of Patience, who is off to the fishing. Ross County were very unfortunate, but they have only themselves to blame. |
