| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Inverness Clachnacuddin 1 Ross County 2 A fine second-half display took Ross County into the final of the Sports Bed competition at the expense of Clachnacuddin at Grant Street Park, Inverness, on Wednesday night. The first-half, in which no goals were scored, was in Clach's favour, and the Dingwall defence seemed to be shaky under pressure. It was in the second-half that Ross County were seen at their best. Barrie, the new player coach, did some fine work and was well supported by Forsyth, the Dingwall right-half, who was the outstanding man on the field. County's first goal came twenty-five minutes after the resumption and it was a good one. Sutherland sent the ball over to Gowl who slammed the shot into the net. Mapplebeck had no chance to save. In the semi-darkness it was the end for Clach, Mackay added another and McIntosh reduced the leeway for the homesters. |
