Match Report	Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Huntly 7 Ross County 1 Ross County made the long journey to Huntly, where they found the home team in dazzling form. Their forwards could do little wrong, and Anderson, J. A. Mackay, and his brother in goal had a gruelling time. It was not so much that Ross County were inferior—they were not—but the Huntly backs were on their mettle and would give nothing away. Ross County had hard luck on several occasions, but a foot or a head saved the situation when success appeared imminent. At the other end, fortune favoured Huntly. Their attack was decisive and penetrative. Time and again they spread the defence and left themselves with only P. Mackay to beat. He did his best, but one goalkeeper cannot defy two forwards, at least not always. He was beaten seven times, but not by soft shots; all were certainties that passed him. The Ross County half-backs were kept on the defensive most of the time, with the result that they were of little help to their forwards, who had to forage for the ball themselves. The game recalled the match at Dingwall recently, when Ross County went rampant against Forres Mechanics. That was the County's day; today they will be able to sympathise with the Mechanics. Young, Stewart (2), and MacRae found the net for Huntly before half-time, while in the second period Mitchell, Stewart, and Emslie added three further goals to bring the total to seven. Stewart got Ross County's only goal near the end.
