King's Own Scottish Borderers 3 Ross County 3

The 1st K.O.S.B. and Ross County fought a keen Highland League game to a draw at Fort George on Saturday, dividing six goals.
The soldiers played a fine first half to be leading by three goals at the interval, and only a second-half hat-trick by Aird, Ross County’s marksman centre-forward, saved the Dingwall team.
Opening briskly, the K.O.S.B. went ahead almost immediately when Armstrong scored after five minutes, and three minutes later McMurdo took advantage of a mistake by the Ross goalkeeper to put them further ahead. End-to-end play followed, but just before the interval, Coldham notched a third for the homesters after a brilliant solo run.
In the second period, play was mostly confined to midfield, the visitors going all out. After fifteen minutes, Aird netted when one of the home backs miskicked, and shortly afterwards the same player reduced the leeway to one. Five minutes from time, Aird headed the equaliser from a corner.
The K.O.S.B. were best served by Payne, Coldham, and McGlinchey.
