| Match Report | Report from the Ross-Shire Journal. Huntly 1 Ross County 0 On Saturday at Huntly, the game produced little football in a near gale force wind. A goal for the home side in the third minute was sufficient to earn Huntly the points. Barbour scored with a header from a cross by Copland. With the wind behind them in the first half, Huntly kept County penned in their own half, but in a swift break in 32 minutes, the visitors were awarded a hotly disputed penalty. Don Cowie’s kick was brilliantly saved by keeper Gardiner, who turned the ball round the post. |
