| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Peterhead 2 Ross County 1 On Saturday, at Peterhead, Ross County lost by two goals to one in a match, which finished on a controversial note. The home team secured the winner in injury time, with County protesting that Ure had been fouled as he went up for a corner kick from which Thomson scored. The keeper’s protests brought him a “yellow card!" Ross County held the League champions well throughout the game. Although they went down to a goal from Steve Wright in the 49th minute, they struck back quickly and Johnstone Bellshaw headed home the equaliser. then came the hotly-disputed winner! |
