| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Buckie Thistle 1 Ross County 2 ROSS COUNTY’S morale received a welcome boost at Buckie on Saturday, when they gained a rare victory at this particular venue against the local Thistle. Buckie had dominated the first half and led at half-time with a goal from Megginson, who had tapped the ball home from six yards in the 31st minute. Defender Scott Lemmon, who has been threatening to score all season, at last got his name on the score sheet in the 49th minute, when he fired home a Robertson corner after the keeper had fumbled the ball. County gained in confidence, and it was no surprise, when in the 67th minute “Nero” Macdonald scored what proved to be the winning goal. |
