| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Ross County 0 Forres Mechanics 1 THE only goal of the match came two minutes from half-time, when Forres Mechanics broke the deadlock in an evenly balanced match. Minty pounced on a loose ball six yards out and netted, despite a brave attempt by Suttar to parry the ball. County struggled for the equaliser in the second half, but Mechanics gave nothing away, with their keeper, Bobby Gray, in top form, especially in the dying seconds when he turned a Cowie shot over the crossbar. |
