Deveronvale 0 Ross County 2

ROSS COUNTY continued on their merry way on Saturday with another convincing win. On this occasion, the margin was two goals to nil over Deveronvale at Banff. Another “away” match follows this weekend at Rothes, where it is hoped they will finish the month in style with another victory to complete a nap-hand of league wins for October. Deveronvale could have taken the lead in a goalless first half, but Suttar made a superlative save from a penalty kick. In the second half, the Mackays from Sutherland scored a goal apiece for County.
The first came from Donald Mackay in the 75th minute, when he fired home a 35-yard shot to cap an excellent individual display. Until then, the game had been dominated by the performances of keepers Clark and Suttar. James Mackay sealed the points when he lobbed the ball home from 25 yards in the 83rd minute, when the keeper was forced to come off his line to meet him.
