| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Forres Mechanics 3 Ross County 1 In their return match at Forres in the North of Scotland League, the Mechanics defeated Ross County by three goals to one, and thus secured three out of the four points, the game at Dingwall having resulted in a draw. On Saturday, Forres were the superior throughout, displaying clever touches of play and combining accurately. However, Ross County tried hard to register more goals, but the stout defence of the opposing team repulsed their attempts. The most outstanding players for Forres were Kelman, Munro, Ellis, Drynda and Taylor, who played a very forceful game and always trying for goal. Macintyre, Stewart, Forsyth and Connel were the best of the County. Taylor (2), Drynda (1), and Griffen scored for the County. |
