Inverness Clachnacuddin 6 Ross County 1

The Ross County were unlucky in the League match with Clachnacuddin, Inverness, on Saturday. Due to the fact that their goalkeeper met with an accident early in the second period, and had to leave the field, they found easy access into the undefended goal as the game closed. The home side piled on the pressure and ran up a 7-1 score. The County forwards ran well and laid on the play, but their defence did not lack dash, and might have had more points. In the first half the Dingwall team put up a good fight. Scores were level at 1-1 at the interval. Good cohesive work by the Inverness half-backs and forwards often had the County defence fully stretched. County were first to find the net through Boal. Two minutes later Logic sent home a pass from Munro to equalise. A penalty for an offence against Logic allowed Baxter to give the lead. Shortly after, Mackenzie, Ross County's keeper, had to retire on account of injury. Kerr got Clachnacuddin's third from yards out. Towards the end County fell away badly, and Baxter had a fourth goal, also from a penalty. Campbell and Maclean got the other two goals. Boal was outstanding for County. Forsyth did well at centre-half. Two making their football debut, Campbell and Forbes, gave a good display for Clachnacuddin. Macdougall had many clever saves, kicked and tackled well at right back.
