| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Nairn County 4 Ross County 0 There was no doubt of Nairn County’s superiority in the game with Ross County at Kingsmills Park, Inverness, on Wednesday evening, in the final of the Inverness Sports Bed competition. The Nairn players played really clever football from start to finish and refused to allow the Dingwall team to settle down. Nairn showed their best form in the first half and were well worth the three-goal lead at half-time. It was only in the last twenty minutes of the game that Ross County threatened real danger, and even then the Nairn defence refused to give anything away. Ross County defence did not bear comparison with that of Nairn, but Munro and M’Intosh put in a hard evening’s work, while in the attack Gillies and Lyon did well. |
