Fraserburgh 6 Ross County 0

Fraserburgh retained their position near the top of the Highland League by beating Ross County at Bellslea Park by six goals to nil. The visitors had a long journey of 130 miles on a cold day, but that does not altogether account for their weak display. They were up against a much better combination, who were on the top of their form. So clever were the movements of the attack that they required little support from the rear divisions, and, with a stiff breeze behind them, they scored four times in the first half.
In the teeth of the elements they continued to set the pace in the second half, finding the net twice without allowing their opponents to reply.
Simpson, inside-right, opened the scoring for the homesters in the first minute, and continued in sparkling form till the close of play. In ten minutes George Bell headed in a Watt cross, but George, who had not on his shooting boots, should have had more goals.
With twenty minutes gone, Thain, centre-forward, scored with a header, and this little fellow added a couple more.
Watt, outside left, always was prominent, and, in addition to scoring against the wind, he had a hand in most of the other goals. His crosses into the goalmouth were always finely taken and timed.
