| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Keith 4, Ross County 1. Last Saturday at Keith, Ross County were no match for the home eleven, being beaten by four goals to one. Keith opened the scoring and were two ahead before Aird scored a well-taken point. In the second half, it was Keith attacking against the County defence. A penalty put Keith two ahead and near the end they secured another point. Tomorrow (Saturday) Ross County entertain Inverness Thistle, who are confidently tipped all round as League flag winners. Thistle, on paper at least, have the strongest side in the competition, incorporating as it does a number of men with Southern experience. County have seen fit to change their defence, Stewart going to outside left to make room for a newcomer in Macpherson (Beauly). This move does not meet with popular approval, as Stewart, who is a youngster, is thought to be a first-class back in the making. Glass, who is known to the football public, is at inside left to Stewart, while Fred Macleod is reserve. |
