| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. East Stirlingshire 1 Ross County 2 Two spectacular blunders from East Stirling goalkeeper Gordon McDougall handed Ross County the three points in this Third Division match at Firs Park yesterday. The Dingwall men were out-played before the interval but for all that were only a goal behind thanks to a cruel miscue from Johnstone Bellshaw, who put through his own goal after 27 minutes. The defender made amends for his mistake three minutes after the resumption. He lost control of the ball inside the penalty box but after McDougall had failed to come and collect, Bellshaw's second attempt beat the keeper from five yards. County's Jamie MacPherson engineered victory with a goal from nothing on 67 minutes. His 30-yarder was well hit but McDougall still should have saved it. Instead, he stood and watched as the ball went past him en route to the net. |
