| Comments | Match Report Report by Bill McAllister from the Press & Journal. Ross County 1 Arbroath 4 Ross County manager Bobby Wilson has hung a "pussyfooting" label on his Dingwall team, whose poor home form has been responsible for their slide to third-bottom of the Third Division. After Arbroath had gained their first league win of the season with a comprehensive victory, Wilson stormed: "We've got to realise that there's more to the game than pussyfooting about--especially when the other team has the ball. You only get out of this league what you put into it. "Arbroath simply worked hard, while we looked as if we had 11 newcomers, rather than one, Willie Furphy, whose performance was our only bonus." Former referee Tom "Tiny" Wharton, of the Football Trust, handed over a cheque for £92,925 at Half Time --but the transformed Victoria Park is not yet a field-of-dreams for County. Their home record is one point from three games and 10 goals conceded. County now have back-to-back away games against Queen's Park and Forfar which, considering their unbeaten record on the road, they may actually welcome. Steve Tosh, who has made only 10 appearances for Arbroath since stepping up from the junior side Glenrothes, rattled in a hat-trick in the last half-hour to give the Gayfield men a merited success. |
