| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Peterhead 5 Ross County 3 Ross County manager Bobby Wilson breathed a huge sigh of relief late on Saturday night despite the fact he had earlier seen his side throw away a 3-1 lead and crash to defeat at Recreation Park. The County boss had to spend a couple of hours at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where young defender Craig Reid needed to have a leg injury X-rayed after he was stretchered off during the second half at Peterhead. It was the end of a fraught afternoon for manager Wilson, who finished the game sitting in the stand after referee Terry Greer dismissed him from the dug-out during the second half. He said: "I'm pleased to say Craig's leg is not broken. He has severe bruising to his shin and we all feared the worst when he had to come off and initially go to hospital in Peterhead. "As far as the game went, we looked comfortable leading 3-1 and then began to defend badly and Peterhead made us pay for that by coming from behind to take the points." Brian GRANT cancelled out Alan LYONS' 21st-minute opener for Peterhead and by the hour mark Barry WILSON and GRANT again had County 3-1 ahead. But Peterhead went on to notch up counters from John McGACHIE, Grant COULL, David KEITH and Robbie CHEYNE. |
