| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Fort William 1 Ross County 4 Title-chasing Ross County are poised to rest top scorers Brian Grant from tonight's Press and Journal Highland League game with Inverness Thistle at Dingwall. Local lad Gary Ross showed up well when he come on as substitute for Grant at Fort William on Saturday and manager Bobby Wilson said: "Gary has been very patient in waiting for his chance and he deserves a run out from the start. "I may rest Brian Grant as he hasn't been scoring and it has clearly affected his confidence." County's four goals at Claggan Park ended a barren spell in which they had failed to find the net in their past four games and Wilson hopes this can trigger a turnaround as they seek revenge this evening for their shock 6-3 Inverness Cup defeat from the Kingsmills men. Alan DUFF was the hat-trick hero with Robbie WILLIAMSON grabbing the other as Ross hit the goal trail in the second half after Fort had led 1-0 at half-time through Joe SMART. "We actually played better in the first half, though our finishing was better after the interval," said boss Wilson. "There's everything to play for on the run-in and we need to build on the Fort win and reel off some good results to reinforce our challenge." |
