| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Ross County 4 Nairn County 0 Ross County won at a canter against lowly and luckless Nairn, who were forced to play second fiddle throughout. Only stout defending and keeper Tony Grigor stopped Ross scoring more goals. With two minutes left, County's Gary Ross, who scored the first goal, was sent off for talking back after being booked for a foul. After 20 minutes, home keeper Hutchison had still to be tested and in the 21st minute Ross County went ahead when Gary ROSS, Saturday's two-goal hero at Banff, rose high to head home a left-wing corner. The home side were always in command and took a two-goal interval lead when Robbie WILLIAMSON easily rounded the keeper from a Grant pass. Four minutes after the restart, Brian GRANT headed a third from a Ross cross and substitute Alan DUFF made it 4-0. Nairn's Derek Fraser was booked for a reckless tackle. |
