| Comments | Match Report Report by Bob Mackinnon for the Press & Journal. Inverness Thistle 0 Ross County 2 Although there was never any doubt that County were going to win, they made dreadfully heavy weather of it against a Thistle side that desperately lacked firepower. County had virtually all of the possession in the first half but failed hopelessly to capitalise on the situation. Ferries had a good chance to put them ahead when he got on to the end of a miscued pass back from Milroy but he shot weakly into Calder's arms. The deadlock was broken five minutes before the interval when DUFF volleyed home a cross from Andy MacLeod. Things picked up a shade for Jags in the second half and Moir came close to snatching an equaliser with a good header from Tom MacDonald's cross. But WILLIAMSON put the result beyond their reach when he headed in a cross from Somerville with less than 10 minutes remaining. |
